Apple Sauce- Instant Pot

This apple sauce is quick and easy to make.

Equipment

  • Pressure Cooker

Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs Apples Any variety
  • 1/2 Lemon Juiced
  • 1 tsp Ceylon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Optional: Peel apples or leave peel on for a nice chunky apple sauce. Slice apples into large chunks. Be sure to remove the core and seeds.
  • Place apple chunks into the instant pot along with the lemon juice, cinnamon, and water.
  • Turn the Instant Pot on to Manual high 5 mins. Let Natural Release for 10mins, then quick release.
  • Stir to mash the apples. Leave chunky or take an immersion blender or potato masher for a smooth apple sauce.
  • Best to consume within a week. This applesauce can be canned after making.

Notes

Slow Cooker Instructions. Follow the same instructions as above. Adjust cooking time:  Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
